The machines are suitable for companies that use a single cutting wire to process EPS blocks, Neopor blocks, XPS sheets and EPP sheets and produce different contours, tapered or skewed cuts.
The CUT3000S Series was developed for companies that want to produce different contours and complex geometries from EPS and Neopor blocks as well as XPS and EPP sheets flexibly and reproducibly.
Four independently controlled cutting axes enable not only parallel cuts but also tapered, angled and skewed contours. This makes the CUT3000S suitable for one-off parts and small batches as well as recurring production tasks.
Typical applications include profiles, technical cut parts, molded parts, decorative elements, letters, logos and 3D geometries.
The CUT3000S Series is assembled, adjusted and fully tested at our factory. The stable machine construction and four independently controlled axes provide the basis for precise and reproducible cutting processes.
Different working areas and wire lengths allow the series to be adapted to different material formats and applications. Additional options such as CNC rotary table, horizontal CNC rotary axis or automatic wire feed system extend the range of applications when required.

The open machine table allows easy loading and unloading of the material. The stable steel construction is designed for regular commercial use.
Standard equipment includes the four independently controlled cutting axes, the wire tensioning system, power control and CNC control.
The CUT3000S Series features four independently controlled cutting axes. Both sides of the cutting wire can be positioned independently of each other.
In addition to parallel 2D contours, this also allows tapered, angled and skewed geometries to be produced. Typical applications include tapered profiles, columns, airfoils and technical molded parts with different contours on both sides.
For cutting tasks with larger differences between the axis positions, the machine can optionally be equipped with the automatic wire feed system .
The cutting wire is tensioned by a mechanical spring system The spring compensates for the change in length of the heated cutting wire and ensures consistent wire tension during cutting.
Different spring characteristics can be used for different cutting tasks. Parallel cuts require only a small change in wire length, while skewed 4-axis cuts can result in significantly larger changes in length.
The cutting wire can be installed and removed without tools. This allows quick wire changes and easy threading of the wire into closed contours.
The CUT3000S features automatic power control for the cutting wire. The power supply provides the electrical power required for the thermal cutting process.
The control system supports a consistent wire temperature and therefore reproducible cutting conditions when processing EPS, XPS and EPP.
This allows the cutting power to be adapted to different wire lengths, materials and applications and keeps it stable during the cutting process.
The CUT3000S Series is equipped with a 4-axis CNC control matched to the machine.
The control coordinates the four independently moving cutting axes and therefore enables both parallel contours and tapered and skewed cuts.
When equipped with an additional CNC rotary axis, the system can be extended by a fifth axis .
The CUT3000S is supplied with the required machine software and a USB controller for communication between the Windows PC and the CNC control.
The machine software interface has been optimized for 4-axis hot wire cutting and allows cutting programs to be loaded, started and monitored, while also providing access to the machine functions.
As standard, communication with the machine is provided via the USB controller. An optional LAN controller is available for connection via a network interface.
A Windows PC or laptop with an available USB port is required for operation.
Depending on the application, the CUT3000S Series can be expanded with various machine options and accessories. This allows the system to be tailored to different cutting tasks, material formats and operating concepts.
For complex 4-axis cuts with large differences between the axis positions, the CUT3000S can optionally be equipped with an automatic wire feed system .
The system monitors the wire tension via a sensor unit and automatically compensates for changes in cutting wire length during the cut. A motorized unit feeds the wire accordingly.
This keeps the wire tension controlled even during highly skewed and tapered cuts and allows better use of the available working range of the four independent axes.
Optionally, the Y travel of the CUT3000S can be extended from 1,280 to 1,550 mm .
The larger working range provides additional capacity for demanding 4-axis applications and cutting tasks with larger axis differences.
The extension is also required for certain machine options such as the multi-wire system.
Optionally, the CUT3000S can be equipped with a multi-wire system for up to 3 cutting wires .
This allows several identical contours or cut parts to be produced simultaneously. This increases productivity, particularly for recurring parts and small batches.
The multi-wire system has cutting arms with a length of 750 mm and requires the extended Y travel of 1,550 mm.
The optional CNC rotary table extends the four cutting axes of the CUT3000S with an additional vertical rotary axis.
The workpiece is rotated in a controlled manner during cutting. This makes it possible to produce rotationally symmetrical and three-dimensional shapes .
Typical applications include columns, vases, spherical and hemispherical shapes as well as other symmetrical molded parts made from thermally cuttable foams.
The rotary table is controlled as a fifth CNC axis directly by the machine control.
As an alternative to the CNC rotary table, the CUT3000S can be equipped with a horizontal CNC rotary axis .
The workpiece is positioned horizontally between the supports and rotated in a controlled manner around its longitudinal axis during cutting.
The combination of rotary movement and the four cutting axes enables the production of elongated rotationally symmetrical molded parts and complex 3D geometries.
The horizontal rotary axis is also controlled as a fifth CNC axis directly by the machine control.
Optionally, we supply the CUT3000S with a preconfigured Windows PC for machine operation.
The required machine software is pre-installed and configured. This reduces the effort required during commissioning and prepares the system for communication with the CNC control.
Depending on the required configuration, the computer system can be combined with a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
The optional Operator panel provides a central workstation directly at the machine.
The computer, monitor and controls can be arranged clearly so that cutting programs can be loaded and machine functions can be operated and monitored directly at the workstation.
Combined with the preconfigured computer system, this creates a compact operating solution tailored to the machine.
For creating cutting programs, we recommend our styroCAM CAM software.
For the CUT3000S with one cutting wire, styroCAM - CAM Software Hot Wire Single-Wire is used. The software supports the creation of parallel contours as well as complex 4-axis cuts with different contours on both sides.
When the machine is equipped with the optional multi-wire system, styroCAM - CAM Software Hot Wire Multi-Wire is available.
Existing drawing data can be imported in formats including DXF, DWG and PLT and prepared for processing on the CUT3000S.
In addition, styroCAM can calculate profiles from STP files This function is currently still in the beta phase and is continuously being developed.
The CUT3000S is assembled, adjusted and fully function-tested at our factory. For transport, the machine is separated into pre-assembled modules and can be commissioned at the installation site with minimal effort. Standard delivery includes:
The CUT3000S can be used with different vector, CAD and CAM programs for creating drawings and cutting programs.
For creating the machine programs, we recommend our styroCAM CAM software. However, the use of styroCAM is not mandatory. Alternatively, any suitable CAM software that generates ISO G-code can be used.
Any suitable Vector software can be used to create vectorized drawings and files for contour creation.
Any suitable 2D or 3D CAD software can be used for technical drawings and dimensionally accurate geometries.
